Nourishing Homemade Hair Conditioner - Add Shine To Dry, Lifeless Hair

A moisturizing and nourishing hair conditioner is a must in order to control dry hair and scalp. There are many causes of dry hair. The outside, environmental factors, what we eat, blowdrying, dying the hair, iron curlers... Although less prominent than oily hair, dry hair can look lifeless and lack volume. Split ends are often seen in dry hair and so is dandruff which is the result of dry scalp.

When preparing hair care recipes, it is very important to use appropriate oils. Some oils leave a greasy residue which you certainly don't want. Oils such as coconut moisturize enough and also create a protective layer on the hair shaft that will lock in the moisture. You will also find olive oil as one of the ingredients. Olive oil is a wonderful nourishing ingredient, used in body and skin care. It nourishes the hair shaft and also with Vitamin E which it is rich in, it adds to its elasticity, something dry hair often lacks.
